MOT due again?

MOT due again? Can’t believe it has already been a year since the last test? It really is tempting to see this annual duty as a bit of a nuisance. But that would be a mistake. The MOT test is a valuable opportunity to spot anything that threatens your safety, and selecting a good testing centre is extremely important.

Why ask Bosch Car Service for an MOT?

The MOT test covers a range of areas that are critical for safety. It is designed to pick up potentially dangerous problems with everything from the brakes to the steering. It also protects the environment by

ensuring that your vehicle is not producing harmful levels of emissions. When you ask Bosch Car Service to carry out your inspection, you know these important tasks will be performed by high-quality staff in a well-equipped and well-maintained workshop. The expertise of Bosch Car Service staff is also backed up by professional integrity. If they tell you that a test found something that needed to be fixed, you can trust them completely. A car MOT test is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the condition of your vehicle. So, you can expect Bosch Car Service staff to communicate the outcome of your inspection clearly and in terms that you understand – both verbally and on the test documentation.

Check my MOT status

There are a number of ways to find out the renewal deadline for your vehicle’s MOT. The most straightforward is to simply check last year’s certificate, where you should find the information you need. But sometimes that may not be possible, for example if the documentation has gone missing. In that situation, a convenient way to check MOT status is by calling your local Bosch Car Service workshop and asking them to find out the date for you. All they will need is the vehicle’s registration. Having established the deadline, you can book the vehicle in for an MOT test there and then.

TIP: It is best not to leave the test date until the last minute, as there may be some reason why you have to cancel, and then you could find yourself without a valid MOT certificate, which is illegal. Fortunately, you can get your vehicle MOT tested up to one month early and still have the renewal start from the day after the deadline.
